Spring Bike and Skateboard Helmet Sale
The Why Not Wear A Helmet organization is pleased to be able to provide affordable helmets to those who are interested in purchasing them.  Please find an order form and instructions on sizing and ordering  bike and skateboard helmets on the order form attachment.  Helmet orders need to be received no later than Thursday, March 19th.  Forms can be sent into school with your child or mailed to the Board of Education Offices at 21600 Center Ridge Road, attention Why Not Wear A Helmet. Posted Wednesday, March 10, 2010

SCOLIOSIS SCREENING

POSTURAL SCREENING           

In the near future a Postural Screening Program will be conducted at

Rocky River Middle School for sixth and seventh graders.  The screening will help identify students with curvature of the spine, called scoliosis, or other possible spinal problems.  Scoliosis affects one in every twenty persons!  Two or three out of every hundred diagnosed with a spinal problem will require active treatment.  The purpose of this program is to recognize the problem at its earliest stages so that the need for treatment can be determined.  Read more . . .

Rocky River Elementary Foreign Language Summer Camp

The Rocky River Elementary Foreign Language Summer Camp introduces one or more foreign languages to students who have just completed grades 2-5.  The course content is based on the Ohio Academic Content Standards. Students will be introduced to basic vocabulary including greetings, likes and dislikes, simple descriptions, colors, numbers, and introductions.
